Meet our spoiled rotten baby goat.  This is our only mini-alpine, but we absolutely adore her.  She has a nice wide escutcheon and a super long body, with a level topline to boot!!  In this picture, she is in her natural stance.  Her dam is milking 10 #'s on her second freshening.

These are outstanding kids!  Their dam; Dill's OH Feline Special 4*D, has earned her milking star, as a first freshener. In 275 days she milked 737 lbs, her protein was 31 pounds at 4.2% and her butterfat was 48 pounds at 6.5%. Special needs one more leg to be a finished champion. I'm sure she'll have no trouble getting that leg this show season.
Their sire's dam is another outstanding doe; ARMCH Dill's HT Starry Night *D. Starry has also earned her milking star. Her milk record is as follows; in 242 days she produced 477 pounds of milk, 31 pounds of butterfat at 6.5%, and 20 pounds of protein at 4.2%.
Just look at the outstanding pedigrees behind these kids. They include numerous star milkers and finished champions. Among them; MCH Gay-Mor's RA Nightowl 2*D, ARMCH Unicorn Farms Parnell's Panda *D, MCH Gay-Mor's LR Kitty's Meow 2*D, MCH Piddlin'Acres Doe C Doe, E, MCH/PGCH Raha Acre's Twink's Pixie *D, MCH/PGCH Flat Rocks Opal 2*D and MCH Flat Rocks Surprise *D.
Not only are the pedigrees and milk records behind these guys outstanding, but conformationally they are absolutely stunning! Definitely fantastic show prospects in the making. So, if you're looking at adding milk, correct mammary systems AND good looks, look no further. What a great addition to any herd.

King is another example of what the Dill's are accomplishing with their breeding program.   As you can see in the above pictures of his dam, he is carrying great genetics for the mammary system.  He is very tall, very lean, but is developing the depth of body that we are looking for in our bucks.  We are excited about his addition to our herd (our daughter's herd).

Above is his picture as  a two- year old.  I wish we could get them in a show stance, but they are in full rut.  So we will wait until spring!!

Animals are guaranteed healthy and genetically reproductively sound at time of sale. All
animals sold out of state are required to have a Health Certificate issued by our vet for
the standard fee of $45. Because we cannot control environmental influences and
conditions once said animal leaves our property, we cannot offer further guarantees.

If you would like to purchase an animal listed on our sales page we require half
the purchase price as a non- refundable deposit to hold the animal for you. Your deposit
will  hold the animal of your choice for 30 days while you make transportation
arrangements. Should we have to hold an animal for more than 30 days, full payment is expected. We will also charge a $3 per day boarding charge if pick-up is not made when previously arranged.

****NOTE**** It is the buyers responsibility to stay in touch with Checkerboard
Creek Farm . If we do not hear from you after your 30 days deposit period is over,
or for any extended period of time, we reserve the right to offer said animal for sale again. This has happened several times to us. Checkerboard Creek Farm is very easy
to work with, but we cannot be boarding animals indefinitely for customers
we haven't heard from. Boarding charges WILL apply after 30 days.
